Panel Presenter, British Psychological Society (BPS) Counselling Psychology Annual Conference, Bristol, UK — 4–5 July 2025, focusing on MCET training and its role in enhancing mindfulness therapy approaches within psychology workshops.
Invited Speaker, South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Foundation Trust – East Asian and Southeast Asian Heritage Month Event, London, UK — 30 September 2025, where I will discuss the importance of mindfulness therapy and its applications in psychology workshops.
I developed the MCET intervention during my seven years of doctorate training in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. This culturally sensitive and non-threatening approach is designed to work effectively with Chinese and Asian heritage communities internationally. The innovative and integrative method draws on various theories, including cognitive, mindfulness therapy, and psychoanalytic free association. This process can be very effective in helping clients access previously problematic experiences and transform them into valuable resources. Typically, the sessions, which can be conducted in either Chinese or English, last between 4 to 12 sessions, enhancing the experience through psychology workshops.

This is the standard set to use for the MCET training approach, and you don’t need to have calligraphy practice experience. The session can be conducted in either Chinese or English. If you’re interested in learning more about this approach, including its applications in mindfulness therapy and psychology workshops, please contact me for further details.
MCET Level 1 - Level 3
Three full days are required for a minimum of MCET training across three weeks. Please be aware that the MCET Level 2-3 is intended for qualified therapists, mental health professionals, and psychologists. During the training weeks, participants will also engage in Zen Mindful Calligraphy Enhanced therapy, which incorporates mindfulness therapy for deep self-exploration. This powerful calligraphy practice is expected to facilitate self-deep exploration throughout the training.
